Configure services and availability

Define what customers can book, who provides it, and when appointments can begin.

Create a service customers understand

Go to Services → Add service. Use the name customers already recognize, describe what is included, and set a realistic duration. Add turnaround or cleanup time to the duration when the same staff member cannot immediately accept another appointment.

Set these fields carefully:

  • Price: what the customer is expected to pay.
  • Location: in person, online, at the customer’s location, or another supported option.
  • Staff: everyone qualified to deliver the service.
  • Visibility: whether the service appears on your public booking page.
  • Instructions: anything the customer must prepare or bring.

Set staff availability

Availability belongs to the staff member, not only to the business. Open Staff, select a person, and add their normal weekly hours. Record time off and one-off changes as exceptions instead of editing the entire weekly schedule.

If no times appear, check all three conditions:

  1. The service is public.
  2. At least one staff member is assigned.
  3. That person is available for the complete service duration.

Existing bookings and blocked time can also remove a slot.

Prevent scheduling surprises

Preview at least three dates: today, a normal future workday, and a date containing an exception. If customers can book too close to the appointment time, add an appropriate booking notice. If they can book too far ahead, reduce the booking window.

Change an existing service safely

Editing a service affects future selections. It does not necessarily rewrite information already recorded on existing bookings. Review upcoming appointments after changing duration, staff assignments, location, or price, and contact affected customers when needed.
