Accept payments with Stripe
Connect Stripe, configure service prices, understand payment status, and handle refunds safely.
Updated July 23, 2026Connect Stripe
Open Settings → Integrations → Stripe and select Connect. Complete Stripe’s secure onboarding using the legal and banking details of the person or organization that should receive payouts.
Bookisia does not ask you to send banking credentials by email. Enter sensitive payout information only on Stripe’s secure pages.
Configure payment for a service
Open the service and confirm its price and payment requirement. Preview the booking flow before sharing it publicly. A successful test should produce both a Bookisia booking and a corresponding payment record.
Understand payment status
- Paid: Stripe reported a completed payment.
- Pending: payment processing has not completed.
- Failed: the payment was declined or interrupted.
- Refunded or partially refunded: funds were returned through Stripe.
Do not mark a booking as paid based only on a customer screenshot. Verify the payment in Bookisia and, if necessary, in your Stripe dashboard.
Refund a customer
Follow your published cancellation policy, locate the payment in Stripe, and issue the appropriate full or partial refund. Then record the appointment outcome in Bookisia. Refund timing is controlled by the banking networks and may not be immediate.
If payouts are missing
Check the Stripe dashboard for identity-verification requests, payout schedule, account balance, bank information, and failed payout notices. Bookisia can help identify the associated booking, but Stripe controls payment processing and bank payouts.
